The TechServe Alliance M&A Marketplace, a service offered by TechServe Alliance Services Corp., which connects interested buyers with qualified sellers of technology staffing and solutions firms, recently facilitated the acquisition of Future State Consulting By The Planet Group.
“The TechServe M&A Marketplace team took the time to understand our company and our personal objectives,” said Dann Black, founder of Future State Consulting. “Having never done this before, they also helped me understand the numerous components of a successful transaction. After multiple offers, they helped us choose a great partner in The Planet Group.”
TechServe Alliance Services Corp., a wholly-owned subsidiary of the IT and engineering staffing industry’s national trade association TechServe Alliance, launched the service offering last year. The service is available to both members of the association as well as non-members. It provides an opportunity for owners of small to medium-sized IT and engineering staffing and solutions firms with a better way to exit. For prospective buyers, this service provides a much-needed avenue for firms wanting to either grow an existing IT and engineering staffing operation or expand into technology staffing.
“With the ongoing challenge of growing teams organically, demand by buyers of IT and engineering staffing firms remains strong,” said Mark Roberts, CEO of TechServe Alliance and its subsidiaries. “Having now successfully facilitated the sale of three IT staffing firms, we remain excited about the future of the program as we continually add new firms to our pipeline.”
