Last Call for Member Input on FTC Proposal to Ban Non-Compete Agreements

The deadline to submit comments about the Federal Trade Commission’s proposed rule to ban non-compete agreements is fast approaching. The extended deadline is April 13, and our Government Affairs Team will be finalizing our comments on or about April 6.

If your firm is concerned about this proposal, which would also rescind existing non-competes, we would like to hear from you. While IT and engineering consulting firms do not often use non-competes narrowly defined, there is a concern that some non-solicitation and confidentiality agreements could be prohibited under the proposal.

Please contact Julie Strandlie at [email protected] as soon as possible with any concerns.
