myBasePay Hires Chief Revenue Officer Chris Powell to Maximize Growth

DAVIE, Fla.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–myBasePay, the Employer of Record (EOR) helping staffing firms and enterprises build compliant and comprehensive contingent workforces, has hired Chris Powell as Chief Revenue Officer to help drive the company’s growth. Meeting the needs of the new distributed workforce, myBasePay has entered new geographic markets and expanded into new industry segments, notably healthcare staffing. Powell will focus on managing this growth by scaling the team, implementing processes, and building channel partner strategies.

“We needed a leader to come in to put processes in place to help direct our current growth and serve as a visionary to carry us into our next phase.”

A staffing industry veteran of 20 years, Powell most recently worked at Velocity Global as Head of Global Partnerships, growing its recruiting partner ecosystem by 500% and driving a 250% increase in filled client recruiting requisitions. Prior to that he served as President of GPS Staffing and spent more than 15 years with Maxim Staffing Solutions and Maxim Healthcare Services. Powell has led sales teams to multiple years of 120+% CAGR (compound annual revenue growth rate) while scaling team headcount 300%.

myBasePay has experienced significant growth as today’s distributed workforce has caused compliance requirements to grow in number and complexity. With contingent workers now comprising 30-45% of the total workforce, organizations are turning to EORs to better manage and support their labor force.

Cesar Jimenez, CEO of myBasePay, said, “We needed a leader to come in to put processes in place to help direct our current growth and serve as a visionary to carry us into our next phase. Chris has a long history of working in the contingent workforce space, bringing with him decades of knowledge, relationships, and industry insights.” He added, “With his extensive experience in staffing, he understands the contingent workforce landscape. I’ve known Chris for a long time, and I’m thrilled we’re now working alongside each other.”

Powell shared, “With more than a third of the workforce contingent, businesses require a smarter, more strategic approach to total workforce management. The compliant ways to explore the remote workforce are more complicated now. As organizations look to better manage their contingent labor, they need a partner who understands their needs and is committed to always doing better. Cesar and I have known each other for years, and I admire the company culture he has built. We share a vision and passion for delivering on the promises made to our customers.”
