On a year-over-year basis, IT employment grew 0.98%, or 51,034 jobs. “Despite a disappointing drop in overall jobs in February, IT employment remained effectively flat,” said Mark Roberts, CEO of TechServe Alliance. “After two years of month-over-month declines, we have seen a stabilization of IT employment over the last year.”
“Technology hiring remains very uneven across sectors and skill sets with strength seen among initiatives tied to AI adoption, cybersecurity, and data modernization. At the same time, many organizations remain cautious, with longer decision cycles and more targeted hiring. The result is a market where opportunity exists, but it is highly dependent on sector, client priorities, and project type,” observed Roberts.
